When you’re learning English, the difference between what we say and what we write can be very frustrating, especially if your own language has a more direct relationship between the letters and the sounds.

Well, it’s not easy for native speakers either. When I was at school, we had a spelling test every Friday for about seven years. If there are around 40 weeks in a school year, that’s around 280 spelling tests!

You can help yourself by practising and taking note of any rules or similarities.

Try these spelling quizzes from ESL Club and keep practising until you can get them right every time.
